JANOME celebrates the production of 40 million units

Janome Dealers across the United States joined together on February 19, 2005 to promote Make a Blanket Day for Project Linus. Project Linus is a volunteer organization that collects handmade blankets to be distributed throughout the United States to children of all ages who are in need.

Employees of Janome America in Mahwah, New Jersey, also got involved by getting together on Make a Blanket Day and creating 30 blankets for Project Linus.

Everyone who turned in a new, handmade blanket to a participating Janome dealer between February 1 and March 31 was entered into a drawing for a new Janome DC3050 Décor Computer sewing machine, at least one of which was given away at each participating Janome dealer.

More than 270 Janome dealers in 44 states participated in this year’s Make a Blanket Day, and collected nearly 40,000 blankets.
